Based on the popular Yaoi Hentai series of novels, and first in a series, this is a set of very erotic and explicitly fun tales sending up fairy stories as well-known as Jack and the Beanstalk and Goldilocks and the Three Bears. As many yaoi manga build up their story toward the sex scenes, this first story does not beat about the bush.
In 'Jack and the Tentacle Stalk' Jack likes the pleasures of the flesh - and the veg, and being an uke he likes it when such things as corn turn into lush semes. A travelling salesman offers him some beans for a rather sexy price and he gets more than he bargains for. This one should read as "Everything I Wanted to Know About how to use Corn but Were Afraid to Ask!" 'Your Lips Say No' is a beautifully drawn collection of sexy guys by various artists in a gallery format. The pictures are certainly for the discerning yaoi lover, and in some cases may be cut out and framed. Each erotic picture is taken from fantasy, elves, vampires, aliens, fairies and demons are brought alive in every piece. Next up is 'Trach the Tentacle Monster in: Kemonini Forest' where our intrepid hero gets those pesky tentacles everywhere, and no one is safe, not lamb boys, cat boys or dog boys and in his view the cuter the better! And with the extra helping of an earlier Trach appearance in Yaoi Hentai there is plenty of him to go around.

'Goldilocks and the Three Bears' is a kinkier retelling of the old tale that has Goldilocks seducing all the 'bears' one at a time, all in sensual clarity and explicit detail. The last story in the novel is an interesting one and looks at how a straight man can deal with a gay man's advances when he is the co-star in a very different set of movies where intimacy is key.

There is a nicely inked reproduction of the cover image just right to colour in if the reader wants to. The reader will be thinking they have seen Parental Advisory warnings in books before and once they've seen them they overlook them, not with this one. If it does not make you laugh within seconds you're more reserved than most.

Unlike some of Yaoi Press's titles, all the stories in this compilation are all comedy related and are destined to tickle the funny bone in many ways. Kinky, naughty and comical with characters that parody themselves really well, the art by W.Tonny and Femo is some of the best seen yet while the stories by Yamila Abraham, Hope Donovan and Moon Yen will make the reader laugh again and again and the only disappointment will be when the reader gets to the end of the book and realises they have to wait for volume two to be released!

Verdict: This first volume certainly puts the kink into kinky, taking the reader into the many comical stories, rib-tickling one-liners and well drawn characters so lifelike you might know them! Happy Yaoi Yum Yum is a thoroughly enjoyable romp through fairy tale land that will leave a lasting and great impression.
