In Street Fighter 2 - The Movie -  Ryu and Sagat are fighting at full strength while Cammie White, a former street fighter and hired assassin has targeted Albert Sellers outside a meeting in London. She has been caught and is held by the authorities and Chun Lee is investigating her.

Many of the street fighters are being used as assassins by Shadow Law. Three are bieng used already, Sagat, Balrog and Vega; each had been recruited by Shadow Law's main man Bison and must be destroyed as he is planning to take over the entire world. Bison has sent his men on the lookout for Ryu as their computer has rated his fighting capacity as over three-thousand and thinks he must be a formidable opponent as he fought Sagat before.

This is designed to be watched after viewing the original Street Fighter 2 movie in order to fully appreciate how great this series is. The action is there, the humorous one-liners and plots but the animation style is as impressive as it takes the characters from the game and brings them into a whole new full length series of animated films. The focus is on Ken and Ryu with Ryu avenging the death of his master and Ken trying to help him as well as fight all his own battles. Then there are the rest of the characters who make up the teams making sure no fan of the original games is disappointed with anything as the characters are made to look the same as in the game yet more refined.

It is fun to see bad guy M. Bison, Ken and Ryu on the cover of the remastered Blu-ray edition which comes as uncensored for the first time, in HD, too so  it will be no doubt a fan favorite. It has been a few years since
the original DVD version of this movie was released. Now that it is in Blu-ray, and HD the fans of the video games can enjoy watching it in excellent quality.

As this is the Blu-ray version of the movie, all the detail has been ramped up to give the viewer the ultimate thrill of a movie feel complete with uncut animated violence within fight scenes, and much more besides. There are several uncut scenes many will appreciate; Ken and Ryu fighting for their lives, a shower scene from one lady character everyone remembers, and the crisp clarity of the backgrounds and characters go toward making this a better Blu-ray version than the live action one from before. Feast your eyes on the movie and what it has to offer, as it can offer plenty.

Bonus Material: Original Music, Uncensored and Japanese version with English Subtitles.

Verdict: Street Fighter is mind - blowing - The anime version of over a decades worth of gaming history that just kicks ass - this is a Blu-ray movie to absolutely treasure.
