While Team 7 is on a mission, Sai and Naruto get injured and have to return to the Hidden Leaf Village where they are confined to bed. Rogue ninja formerly of the Hidden Leaf are on their way to find Kekkei Genkai, and Kakashi believes that they may be after him next.

A young man called Hiroko makes his presence known to the people of the Hidden Leaf, telling them that he already has the four kekkei genkai, and needs the last one - Kakashis. Knowing they will come for him soon, Kakashi asks Lady Tsunade to put a jutsu failsafe on him so he can't truly betray the village.

A great deal is going on in this story; Kakashi remembers his time as a young shinobi with Obito and Rin. He gives Naruto the bells he used in his early training years ago while Sai gets a book on how to understand girls feelings. He thinks these things will keep them happy while he is away as he has already decided to leave for the renegade Hiroko and become his captor. Shikamaru remembers his former captain, Asuma and his wishes for the team, and this shows that each of them have their own will of fire.

Naruto is back in this latest movie that plunges the shinobi of the leaf into more turmoil. While the fourth great ninja war is looming ever closer, ninja start to panic and everyone seems to suspect the Leaf Village as they are the only ones who have not been affected by the phenomena that threatens everyone else. As the disappearance of shinobi helps to create more discord among the villagers, Naruto's sensei Kakashi decides to leave as well, and Naruto wants to follow him, much to Shikamaru's annoyance as he has already been given an order to tell him he isn't to risk his life. After Bonds was the great 'buddy,' movie of Shippuden history, The Will of Fire takes the subject of friendship to another level where everyone is in a time where they are remembering fallen comrades and loved ones, though this doesn't mean the movie is a dark and doom laden one, no. There is room for humour, bucket loads of it in fact which helps move the story along.

Also being released is a Naruto Shippuden Movie Triple Pack including Naruto Shippuden: The Movie, Naruto Shippuden: The Movie: 2 Bonds, and Naruto Shippuden The Movie: 3 The Will of Fire. The Triple Pack is available on DVD and Blu-ray.

Bonus Material: Text less Closing Song, Production Art, and Trailers for other anime series from Manga Entertainment.

Verdict: Fast paced and raucous - it's one for the keeper shelf!
