Ao and Eureka talk of things past and what might have been, and she knows others want to find her so they can use her for their own devices, but she can't ever get into the wrong hands with what she already knows and the power she has. Unfortunately for her, Colonel Endo and his men have found video footage of what Eureka looks like and her location. They were about to bring her in against her will, so what can she do against an onslaught like that?

The JAF want Eureka and will go to any lengths to get her but viewers will get to hear of the origins of Eureka's cause. Eureka taught them that Scub Coral Bursts could be prevented, and this teaching eventually gave rise to an organisation called Generation Bleu. This in turn meant that the people in this organisation were responsible for taking on and destroying the Scub Coral Bursts as, if you remember the first series, aliens called Secrets would arise from the bursts and destroy others in its path. It is interesting to find in this second series that we get to know more about the Scub Coral and the Secrets.

Eureka Seven Astral Ocean AO Part 2 is a colourful anime with keen explanations about Eureka and her people as well as how others react when they see someone as powerful as her and feel the greed of wanting to obtain such a person because of their influence. The series has come along in leaps and bounds from series one and there are two different sides to read this series as there is the lighter side of Ao and Eureka's time fighting the Scub Coral and Secrets and their interaction with Generation Bleu, while the dark side of the whole series is the Secrets emerging from the Scub Coral and the JAF who are relentless in their hunt for Eureka. Here, even the bad guys have to question their morality, of why they will kill to get what they want. Throught all the science fiction elements in this anime, there is still room for humor at the sight of Ao and Gazelle fighting over Eureka. It isn't difficult to see why this is popular as it appeals to those who want to be free from the constraints of the authorities who aren't as honest as they appear.
