15 year old kid Tory Blake has an interest in a new kid who has moved over the road from him, but this interest borders on the obsessive with him watching every move he makes in a desperate bid to get him to notice him. This he hopes will lead to them talking and possibly forming a relationship, but it goes much further than he anticipates.

Tory is a sceptic who prefers to daydream rather than interact with other teens his age. And as a genius, it is easy for his mind to wonder, his only hobby to make notes in his book about the comings and goings in his neighbourhood. His new neighbour is Colin and he has an inkling he is hiding something rather interesting  - this leads him to become infatuated by the young man, and much to his surprise they hit it off once they meet.

Off*Beat is a three novel series originally published in instalments of Sparkler Magazine.Once published by Tokyopop, Jen reworked the cover for a brand new audience already into yaoi manga who would welcome it with open arms.

This novel can be bought as an ebook or paperback and comes with official merchandise.

Verdict: Sweet and fun - it's a case of opposites attract with this yaoi manga readers will rush to buy.
