As in the movie version, the first season started out with the Gecko Brothers out on the road as serial criminals after more money. There, they found an all-night club in Mexico where they also discovered vampires who lay in wait for unsuspecting humans. Little did they know that the Gecko Brothers and co would be up for a fight against the supernatural - one that could be life-threatening for them.

Season 2 is the aftermath of their fight against the vampire threat. They might have won, but some vampires are still alive, intent on finding them again, and killing them. Santanico and Richie are on the run, living on stray humans who cross their path. Seth and Kate get what they can using their guile, while Sherry Gonzalez has put down his guns to help keep his family safe. Here, the gang are inevitably drawn together, and vampires aren't the only problem they have as another villain shows his face, The Regulator who has his own agenda.

It is no surprise this has been a welcome return to the series, but it is different to the movie, As a previous watcher of the movie, you expect to see the original cast to appear, but as the cast is different, the emphasis is more on the story and excessive violence rather than the characters or their development that was appreciated from the movie.
